Hi everyone, after having a lovelytime in Leicester, I went to see my rheumy today as planned. Well..., she said I was having a flare, took one look at my feet and hands, which some of you know are covered in pustular spots, and I've now ended up in a hospital bed!

Thought you got rid of me? LOL - I'm in an ensuite room and have internet connection on the fancy TV - all mod cons here and only the best for me! I'm in a lot of pain, but glad to be here, as yesterday I'd reached breaking point, and could not walk at all.

Jean, Jenni, Amanda, Eleanor, Lyn, Doreen, Kathleen, get the equipment ready, and of course the wine too - will need to be rescued soon, please....

Trying to keep my chin up, and thinking of you all,

love,

Barbara

I know its not the result you wanted but I'm glad they've taken you in. You certainly couldn't go on the way you were and I'm keeping fingers crossed that they find a solution for you as soon as possible...

En-suite room eh? All mod cons.... I hope they have some decent eye candy to while away the hours Razz

It was lovely meeting you on Saturday.... Sending you ((hugs))

Hi Barbara,
I didn't go to the Leicester at the weekend, so haven't met you but just wanted to send my best wishes that they can get to the bottom of those pustular spots and can do something to help your flare. I really sympathise with the spots I had Lichen planus (a friend called it itchy penis) some years ago on my hands and feet and the itching and soreness drove me to distraction.
The room sounds nice though - waiter service? any dishy doctors?
Take care, enjoy the rest and make them get you well soon.
Love
Sheila

Hello Barbara

Hope you've forgiven me for getting your name wrong on Saturday.

I've emailed Amanda only this morning asking if she's heard from you because I hadn't seen you posting since Saturday and then I've read this. I was getting worried about you.

Well at least you are going to get some treatment and are staying in 5 star accomodation. Hope you feel better soon and get some relief from the pain.

Thinking of you

Love Paula x x x

Barbara

I am so sorry that you have ended up in hospital but by the sounds of it probably the best place for you to be sorted. Hope the five star treatment continues.

Take care

Thank you all for the kind replies.

Im sorry if I scared a few people and now realise with hindsight that I should of stayed at home, but I was desperate to meet you all, and with stuborn being my middle name, was determined to goLaugh Love the photos ThumpUp

Chris and I had a wonderful time, and enjoyed meeting new friends. Our journey back to London, now that is a different matter... Someone drove into the back of my lovely newly restored vintage car, Chris was gutted, as it was the first time we'd driven in it since it came back from his workshop. Luckily, we are both OK.

I will be popping into the forum, but cant post alot, as the keyboard is dinky and tiring to use.

Still not seen any talent, but I have not yet met those lovely junior docs.....

love,

Barbara

Hi Barbara,

Ii`m sorry you are in hospital, but hope it is a positive thing and you can get the help you need. En-suite facilities sound good, so hope time doesn`t drag too much for you.

Doreen and I are assembling the rescue equipment this afternoon - I have the spade ready, and Doreen`s got the ropes. Jean is meant to be bringing the torch, but I haven`t heard from her since she feel off her pole last night.

Take care, & get well soon,

Kathleen x

ps sorry to hear about your car - hope it can be fixed.

Dear Barbara,

So sorry to hear that you have been locked up for shabby body work. Hope the treatment plan gets underway and that at least the rest and proper attention is a plus.

Doreen is the mastermind but rest assured there is a back up plan in case plan A with the bed pan, the roller skates and Jean's Pimped up Ermintrude whilest wielding a torch falls flat.

This involves a distraction escape using an enthusiastic 2 yr old, a mad blonde woman with her funky arthur sticks and Amanda swift grappling hook securing on the way to the loos...

Much love and to the lovely Chris- so sorry about your car- we had an extra hr as the A34 was closed and ended up on the M25/ M3.

Jenni xx
